Life With My Little Ian Nathanael...

August 7, 2010 at 3:54pm
7lb. 10oz. 20 inches...

I was holding onto him
as much as he was holding onto me...
The world may say he was late or overdue...
But I say it was perfect timing...
A treasured promise...a dream come true...
My "gracious gift from God..."

Ian, mommy will forever be changed
by your precious life...
I am so honored to call you my son...

Thank you Lord for allowing me to have this
wonderfully amazing experience...
I will never forget it!!!

Lord you have my heart and I will search for Yours...

Then the Lord answered me and said:
"Write the vision and make it plain on tablets,
that he may run who reads it...
For the vision is yet for an appointed time.
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie,
though it tarries, wait for it,
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry...
~Habakkuk 2:2-3

And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap
if we do not lose heart...
~Galations 6:9

The plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
the purposes of His heart through all generations...
The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him,
on those whose hope is in His unfailing love...
~Psalm 33:11 & 18

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good,
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!!!
~Psalm 34:8

Every good gift and every perfect gift
is from above,
and comes down from the Father of lights...
~James 1:17

The Lord your God in your midst,
the Mighty One, will save...
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love...
~Zephaniah 3:17

Our family is now Complete!!!

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth.
It shall not return to me void,
but it shall accomplish what I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it...
~Isaiah 55:11

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven...

39 Weeks and Belly Art...

What an amazing pregnancy this has been!!!

We've been having fun with the girls
making guesses as to what we think Ian will look like and
what life is going to be like with a little brother around...
I just love seeing the excitement on each of their faces
and can't wait to see them meet him for the first time!!!

A tradition we started with Malea was
every time I was pregnant
we would get the paints out and
let them have fun painting my belly...

Here are the girls art work ;-)

(Malea's)

(Kala's)

It was fun watching Nadia
since it was her very first time...
She took pride in her every stroke of the brush
~I love this time with the girls!!!

33 Weeks...

I just can't believe I only have 7 more weeks to go!!!
Where has the time gone!?!?

It's moments like these...
I wish I could just hold onto forever...

Before I know it...
he'll be holding this sea shell in his little hands...

We women are given the opportunity to bear new life...
And in so doing,
to be uniquely linked to the creator of all life...

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made
in secret...
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth...

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed,
And in Your book they all were written,
the days fashioned for me,
When yet there were none of them...
~Psalm 139:15-16

One generation shall praise Your works to another,
and shall declare Your mighty acts...
~Psalm 145:4

Now may the Lord of peace Himself
give you peace at all times in every way...
~2 Thessalonians 3:16

I honestly have been enjoying this pregnancy
and will be sad for it to end...
"So bitter sweet"

I am very much looking forward to
snuggling my sweet baby boy
and soaking up all the newness of his tiny little body...

Ian, you are already sooo loved...
And your 3 big sisters just can't wait for your arrival!!!

Behold children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb is a reward...

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
so are the children of ones youth...

Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them
they shall not be ashamed...
~Psalm 127:3-5

Give me the endurance I need,
so that after I have done your will,
I will receive the promise...
~Hebrews 10:36

Five Months...

I love the wonder
of what each little one will be like
or look like...

The family dynamics are about to change,
but in an amazing way!!!

I'm treasuring each moment I have
as this precious little life grows inside of me!!!
